‘Iran indigenous dolls on display at 26 countries’

Curator for Iran Rahgoshay museum says the country’s ethnic dolls have been shown in 26 countries.

Curator for Iran-based Rahgoshay museum says collections of Iranian ethnic dolls have been on show in 26 countries.

Dr. Rahgoshay was quoted by the media as saying that Iranian city of Badrud is home to ethnic dolls some of which even made more than a hundred years back, adding such dolls were at display in 26 countries during the last Iranian calendar year (ending on March 30, 2017).

He also added that the centennial ethic dollars of Badrud are set to be registered in collaboration with UNESCO.

Rahgoshay museum in Iranian province of Isfahan hosts several cultural events and is home to many ethnic dolls in the region.

Iran is a rainbow of ethnic groups such as Kurd, Balouch, Fars and Turk.
